I've been running my ver8 RAC for about a year with Hydra, but since most tuners won't touch it, I've decided to go back to OEM. I've just purchased a JDM ecu (AH580) and have a couple questions.

First, can I flash this with the AH581 specC ROM? I *think* I should be able to because Ben from EcuTek told me that we could do that with EcuTek tools.

Second, does anyone have a map that comes close to fitting this scenario:

- Stock except for full catless TBE
- 91 octance fuel
- Also, I'm currently running a AVCR boost controller, but wouldn't mind going to a GM three port. What would I need to work on, initial WGDC?

1. yes, you can flash it like this, just flash it with same model revision

2. I would ditch AVCR and get a custom tune

Custom tune = 32 hours of driving.

I'll be doing tuning myself; at least till I get my rotated turbo setup funded.

all of my friends who blew up their RACs run with aftermarket boost controllers disallowing the ECU adjust to certain changes

Well, like I said if my OP, I want to get rid of the AVCR. But when tuning boost with the GM sol. what should I start with; initial WGDC or something else?
