Hello all,

I have got a 2003 STI JDM ECU (ref : AH581-5122).
And I would know if it's possible to flash this ECU with a rom of a 2006 STI JDM ECU (A4TJ121B-ST)

When I Compare these roms, all data seems differents.

But these 2 roms are 160Ko.
Maybe the hardware is different ?
These 2 cars are 2.0L Engine with Twin Scroll Turbo.

If the car don't start, it's not a problem, but I am afraid to not be available to reflash my ECU with my stock rom.

ok, I found out something today

in my case it will work, in yours no

they changed the neutral position switch in 05+ and if you flash the new map, your AVCS will stop working (don't ask me how I know  )

Unless you know for sure that it will work, I would not ever flash a ROM onto a different physical ECU. Even if the file size is the same. People have toasted ECUs doing this.

I guess you're right : I noticed they made some changes in the 05+ codes so that ignition is automatically cut when shifting gears (not the case on previous roms)...

IF your cars is stock, I have a good rom for that car.
I have been running it on my car (same car) for 4 months now. Runs sweet, especailly "up top".
