Question concerning 2001 USDM 2.5RS. JECS/Denso?
Posted: Wed Nov 15, 2006 7:23 pmI was curious about the hardware behind the USDM 2001 RS. Wondering where it fell in terms of JECS or Denso ECU. I seem to recall the 2001 JDM and Euro WRXs are flashable? Is this because foreign markets have a different MY designation (eg, a MY02 USDM = MY01 JDM)
Basically I have a guy that wants a tune/reflash for a 2001 USDM RS. I don't know if the simliarities lie in the 99/00 JECS ecu, or the Denso, and what there is I can do to contribute to the cause. I've done hardware programming, minor assembly, I understand memory addresses. Just need a starting point.
