can flash an 06 wrx

I tried to adjust my friends rev limiter on his 06 wrx. Pulling the rom from the ECU was no problem. It asked me to define the rom from scratch or chose from a parent ROM, which I did. But when I went to change the parameters nothing came up... any ideas?

i believe you have to edit something else too, just changing the rev limit itself won't work
why not try stage one by nuke or ev8siv
i recommend the ev8siv's stage one, works really really good for me that is.
i'm stock btw
the rev limit is at 6800rpm i think
i changed it to 7000 and going that high was pointless for the stock turbo, just sounded like the engine was overstressing
so it's at 6800rpm right now

sorry, I guess I wasn't clear in my post.
none of the deffinations are able to be viewed or modified. all it says is that something needs to be edited in order to modify the ROM.
I have the rom I can u/l if someone wants to take a look at it.

what are you using to view the rom, ecuflash or enginuity?
whichever, update to the latest, you should be able to view it

That rom is supported in Enginuity. Or you can inherit the A8DH200X if you wish to use it in Ecuflash (make sure you download the latest version).

it only shows me two parimeters under timing there is a main ignition A and main ignition B and then a Misc Checksum table. The values for the ignition table are all screwed up though and they don't make any sense. Also shouldn't there be more parimeters then just those two??

Yeah, there's a lot more than that. You either inherited it wrong or you are launching an old version of Ecuflash (maybe from an outdated shortcut)? Try uninstalling ecuflash and reinstalling it. Then make sure you inherit the A8DH200X rom for your rom.

hum, when I launch ECUFlash and hit the help option it shows the ver 1.29.xxx.
I must be looking at the wrong inherited ROM. How do I un-inherit & then re-inherit the ROM again? Its not giving me the option...

Go to the rommetadata directory in Ecuflash and then to Subaru and then to wrx. Look for the A8DH201X.xml file and delete. Then open it in Ecuflash and inherit the A8DH200X.

there is no A8DH201X.xml in the WRX or STI directory...
