Help with a '98 Impreza

I have the same problem as the original poster. I want to data log a 98 JDM STI. No reflashing necessary. It's a JECS ecu. Someone recommended the Tactrix cable to the OP.

Will this "Tactrix" cable work? I've got pins 4,5, 12,13, and 16 of the obd connector filled. It sounds like the Tactrix does not connect pins 12 and 13.

How about if I change the pins on the cable and hard wire it to the transmit/receive of the car? TTL to USB translation sounds pretty good as a start...
