Our Scanmaster 3 logging tool is available. The palm part is open source so it can be customized if need be. I will extend a special deal to active menbers here to promote this project.

And what would that
special deal be? I don't want to invest a lot to have several tools that end up not being what we use.

Mike, can you please give us some details on your product? Are you reading data only via OBD-2 or are you also pulling data using the Select Monitor protocol?

We are using the Subaru Select protocall to pull data. We also have our own custome version call Priority scan the pulls inportant data like O2 and knock correction faster that non essiential data like coolant temp. We also log all the prameters not just a couple like other tools and stil maintin good frame rates.

Sort of unrelated but I guess it fits here better than anywhere. Once we have a real time logging ability, I think a program to convert some logged values of the users choice into virtual gauges for display on an LCD would be handy. I'm of course assuming that to use this feature, the user will have a PC in the car permanently. Maybe not something enough people would use but I'd be interested in some feedback. Would be nice for those of us with LCD's to be able to save a few bucks on gauges and help keep the stock. Gauges kind of kill the sleeper affect too.

Me too. I anticipate the desire/need to monitor stuff while tuning. Virtual instrumentation would be nice.

Hi Mike,
About the Knock Correction that this unit displays- is it the same thing that the Delta Dash calls knock correction- (IAM/16)*Coarse Ignition + Learned Ignition?
Thanks!
Mike
