Mad If I could get your code, i'd like to make just a basic console logging program so I can try and get more speed in the logging department without all the updates etc.

Dam man this is an awesome program. Just curious are the timing numbers correct or are they still off when you look at them thru your evo scan log reader?

This program is very buggy it only installed on 1 out of 4 computers and the guy will tell you it's your windows problem. Thanks for returning my pm's and emails way to support your product. There is obviously something wrong with this software if it's still asking for .net 1.1.4322 when it's clearly installed.

I am sorry, but everyone begged and begged for a release. When the product was released, he clearly stated "Pre-Release" hence the 0.7 version code. Now some people are declaring the software to be buggy and crap. No wonder people don't share their developments. Everyone needs to relax and let Evo4mad take in all the feedback. I think the program is awesome and one of the best logging programs for the money.

Which portion of the software is asking for .net 1.1.4322 ? The setup or the startup of the program.

If it is the startup of the program it IS a problem with your .net 1.1 installation.

Technically it is a problem with your installation of windows.. .NET libraries are quirky.. .net 1.0, .NET 1.1, .NET 2.0 all have slightly different calls.. plus the half dozen or so hotfixes specific to the .NET platforms.. Keep in mind some Antivirus and Popup blockers intercept some calls and prevent the app from working right..

Anyway, if he is using a depricated function no longer supported, then its something he would need to fix.. I have not yet seen the source code to know how he is making calls to the hardware, since that is likely where the problem would lie...

Why don't you quit being an asshole. He lives in New Zealand and doesn't live on your time schedule. Why don't you look at how much similar software costs. The $15 is free, I would have paid $15 if this is all it did just for the ultra fast OBD logging.

what do you expect for pre-release software?

we asked for a release and got it. careful what you ask for or set your expectations accordingly.

Little crying girls gonna ruin it for everyone. So many other people have gotten it to work. Maybe it is something with your computer. Stop crying and try to resolve it. Dont bitch and moan about a freeware program that is in beta stages. If you dont like it just buy an aem and you will have all the fast datalogging necessary and a dedicated forum for support or use one of the slower sample rate programs out there.

Is it possible to redownload the software?

The stuff is on my PC at home and I wanted to play around with it at work, but I never got an email with the DL location and my serial number

Thanks!

3gturbo,

Stop complaining and do a little research. It's a free program for f's sake!
Edit: Not really free, but just about...

You probably have multiple frameworks installed. Your problem is NOT with the software, it is with the way you installed the .NET framework. Just because there is a folder on your machine that says 1.1.4322 does not mean that it is installed.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

Now go write your own logging software and let's see how good it is... :x

Not sure how to interpret the values, and these are of interest to me because my car has run lean for some time now even after installing a walbro fuel pump.

My readings at idle are:
Fuel Trim High: 99.84
Fuel Trim Low: 140.4
Fuel Trim Middle: 120.02

Not sure what these correlate to, last OBDII logger I worked with (not on the evo) reported long and short term fuel trims in + / - percent anything over 5% + or - would cause a DTC to be set

Anyone know what these valuse are and what the represent???

Those seem like values I am used to for DSM's, which doesen't surprise me as they are very similliar. At any rate your fuel trims are (rounding off).

Low 140%
Mid 120%
High 100%

It looks like your injector pulsewidth at idle is a little large. What this usually means when writing DSM ecu code is that your deadtime pulsewidth is a little large. I'd log your pulsewidth at idle and see what value you'd have to make your deadtime such that you reduced this pulsewidth by 40%. The goal is to bring the trims to 100%. You'll find that idle swings wildly so just try to get that one within 20% plus or minus. Try to get your mid within 10% plus or minus. You should be able to get your high fairly close. The idle typically changes drastically from day to day.

????? so your high and low trim should be 100% and your mid should be 10% plus or minus? and do you change your trim with the fuel maps? sorry i haven't played with fuel maps. i've been working on timing. i still have a little knock sum

http://www.vfaq.com/TMO/Tuning-Tips.htm

That site explains the 1g dsm ecu. What I've noticed is that the evo ecu is very similliar in its function.

So I downloaded this program and tried it out. First of all, it works great - at least I think so :) Here are the two pulls I recorded. Unfortunately, I have quite a bit of knock which is what I was afraid of..... Now if they can only get the definitions right for my ECU and I can make some changes with ECUFlash 8)
