What did you use to edit the ROM?

There should be 2 values for the rev limiter. The highest value is where the rev limiter kicks in. The lowest value is where the rev limiter kicks off AFTER it has been engaged.

You might want to try redownloading your ROM to make sure it was uploaded properly.

The highest one is the rpm at which it turns on. The lower one is where it turns off.

first value should be rev limit, second value should be limiter/cut off rpm.

On any DBW/ETC ECU you also need to remap the Accel/Throttle table. For instance, my factory ECU has the throttle plate close down to 20% at 7000rpm. This is independent of the soft injector cut.

Here's a remap for a 7250rpm red line. I increased the rev limit values from 7000/6900 to 7250/7150, and also remapped the main DBW/ETC table.

Quick update. Not all DBW ecus seem to have the throttle plate closure. The 2005 LGT doesn't. It stays open with the last row at 6400rpm. 100% Accelerator opening angle at 100% throttle angle.

One way : Dissassemble code, and rewrite your own proc to manage this (or just check in all code if this function does not exists and is just deactivated...).

At this moment, I've not done many dissassembly on DBW ECU so cannot give you more information.
