I tried v.1.38 and 1.39 on 3 computers, all running Win XP SP3. On 2 of them everything works fine. But on my home one I get an error message every time I try to open a HEX file, saying
"There was an error reading this ROM file. See the message log for details."
In the log window all I see is:

I tried to reinstall EcuFlash several times, tried different Subaru HEX files. Still the same.
Are there any known compatibility issues with Windows version, software, or language settings?

I had the same problem using 1.40 version.

Check path to ROM file you want to open, such as:
c:\subaru\roms\my_rom\super_sti.hex

so, only English letters must be in the path, i named directory with ROMS in Russian and had the same problems.
