i have connected both green connecters , under the steering column and the one behind the passenger's kick panel. but i'm still not in test mode...
is there another way to get into test mode?

Some models have a second set of green connectors, usually in the passenger footwell. Check that out.
Otherwise use a multimeter / continuity checker to buzz through the test mode connector wire to the ECU.
