I tried to read the ECU of this Legacy Outback Bifuel 2.5 MY08, but without any success: If anyone could help me, the SSM2 ECU ID is 52 42 16 40 07.

Thanks for posting the ECU ID.
Unfortunately it sounds like this is one of the newer 'as yet unsupported' ECU /ROM types. Lots of people are hanging out to see what develops for these.

I hope that someone in the early future will be able to develop the support for this ROM....do you think it will be useful to have other infos, as some ID written on the chip or other things?

Your ECU ID says your car was manufactured for Europe.

You will need a new Tactrix cable, which is not yet available, in order to read and reflash your ECU. It seems this cable will become available this summer. This is because Subaru adopted a new communications protocol standard, called Controller Area Network (CAN). In the meantime, you can still use your existing Tactrix cable to log engine parameters with ecuExplorer, RomRaider or EcuEdit.

Thnx John! In fact, I've logged the engine parameters; for the reflashing, I will wait the new Tactrix cable
