hi, all maps in the rom files I downloaded for 02-03-04-05 EDM sti (downloaded from openecu) are totaly same. why? also a rom file I obtained from my stock 05sti edm does not match with the one downloaded from openecu. boost maps, ignition vs vs r totally different. I checked rom infos but these are the same too. I post my rom file and the one downloaded from openecu. I will be happy if there is anyone to help me. Thx.

It could be someone uploaded a particular ROM and mislabeled it with the wrong year.

You're always best off reading YOUR ECU and using that as a base rather than starting with a ROM downloaded here.

The ECU has a CALID which should be publicly tied to a particular year/model car.

Both of the above attached ROMs have the same calibration ID, A4RN300G. The one labeled "AJ840-8830.bin" apparently comes from the attachment at http://forums.openecu.org/viewtopic.php?t=197. That poster, FrSTi, seems to be very reliable.

prodrive, did you purchase your 2005 STI new, from an authorized Subaru dealer in Europe? If not, it may have been modified by the previous owner. Was your car advertised by the selling dealer as having a Prodrive Performance Pack fitted? If so, your ECU was recalibrated by Prodrive using EcuTeK reflashing tools.

thx guys. I checked the history of my car and dealer approved that it has a prodrive performance package. this is the reason of difference I think. Another point is that I think about if there should be any differences in stock maps of 02-03-04-05 EDM stis. All stock roms that I downloaded from scoobypedia have same map values from 02 to 05 stock edm stis. (i.e same turbo boost, same ignition, fueling vs vs.) why?

Also, Low and high detonation fueling maps looks very similar in these stock rom files. But High detonation map should be richer due to low quality fuel. In these case, fuel map switch does not mean anything. Why are they look same? (all rom files are downloaded from www.scoobypedia.co.uk and it says stock)
