I selected the DBW 05-06 sti option and once the pop up came to turn ignition on I did and almost instantly pressed OK.

Im really frustrated. I have read some use green connectors...I have no idea where those are and if 06 sti needs it.

It is necessary to connect the two green test mode connectors. They're under the lower dash just to the left of the steering wheel column.
