Hi. hoping someone can help. reflashing my 01wrx for the first time. i have uploaded from ecu no problems. had a look around and chec ged the rev limit to 2000 rpm and reflased the ecu. worked ok. new rpm limit 2000. went to reflas the stock file and recieved an error message. dont turn key off ecu may become unusable. wont reflash. finally turned the key off and noew the ecu has a 2000 rpm limit. can anyone help. To be honest you're probably just missing something the second time around. If it flashed ok once, you should be able to flash it again.

In general, whenever asking for help with software (openecu or not), you need to actually share the error you are getting.

Maybe you forgot the flashblock?

So strange. charged battery over the weekend, hooked up the laptop this morning and it worked. I tried about a hundred times on friday with no sucess. Thaks for the reply and next time i will attach to log. Broken.
