1.29 problem, can't read/write etc

I installed the 1.29a EcuFlash and can't get the read/write/compare options to work.
I can't click on the buttons or anything.
No com port options anywhere.

Am I just missing something?

Thanks,
Dominic

seems to be a lot of problems with 1.29. I would recommend going back to 1.28. Already seen a lot of com problems and fried ecu's.

So anyone have a download of 1.28? I'm dead in the water now because it was removed from the server.

i do. I put it up on the osecurom forum.
Look in the legacy GT section
http://www.plasmatize.com/osecuroms/download.php?id=396

I think you have to be registered on the osecuroms.org website to download.

uninstall all drivers and software

i had this same issue when i went to 1.29

you have to uninstall your old tactrix drivers
restart
install 1.29
plug in tactrix cable
it will install like 2 drivers, if need be point to 1.29 directory
flash

from my old post

uninstall everything, old software and drivers
restart
reinstall 1.29
plug in cable
when prompted, point windows towards drivers folder(i think this happens twice[2drivers])
pray
flash

i did this and it worked for me

i think what happens is you have <1.28 cable drivers with 1.29
