Do I need a jumper/connector? JDM WRX into a old 2.5RS

you need to look at both wiring diagrams of the stock and transplant engine, then make sure that you mimic what happens when you put the car into diagnsotic mode on the transplant engine
for me with my 00rs w/02usdm 2.0l i simply needed to plug in the green conncetor because it has two connectors, one "jumpered" the flash connector essentially, and the other is involved with a ground i think
HOWever, i did need to add one wire from the ecu to position 8 on my data link connector that was not present on my 00rs
