ECU won't connect
Posted: Tue Jul 29, 2008 1:34 pmI've been trying to connect this 06 wrx sti, and it won't do it. I was running 1.34 didn't work. Upgraded to 1.35, didn't work. After some reading I downgraded to 1.29, still doesn't work. With .34-35 I was getting an error message of interface-closed. Now with 1.29 I'm getting this:

You can see in this log I tried 3 different times to connect, and every time I get a different Challenge/response? Don't even know what the hell that is. I'm in no way computer technical, I only know cars. Any help would be muchly appreciated, as this thing is sitting on my dyno. I'm using a Traxis 1.3u cable and it's worked many times before. This ecu has apparently already been tuned once but with a previous owner so we don't know where or with what.
Any help would be much appreciated.
