I've been trying to connect this 06 wrx sti, and it won't do it. I was running 1.34 didn't work. Upgraded to 1.35, didn't work. After some reading I downgraded to 1.29, still doesn't work. With .34-35 I was getting an error message of interface-closed. Now with 1.29 I'm getting this:

You can see in this log I tried 3 different times to connect, and every time I get a different Challenge/response? Don't even know what the hell that is. I'm in no way computer technical, I only know cars. Any help would be muchly appreciated, as this thing is sitting on my dyno. I'm using a Traxis 1.3u cable and it's worked many times before. This ecu has apparently already been tuned once but with a previous owner so we don't know where or with what.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Well just did some research on the car and found out that it's been ecutek'd...

So anyone know if the 05 STI ecu will work in place of the 06? I happen to have one sitting around

Thanx
