It appears the driver is not SMP safe. I had to disable a core on my shiny new M6300 2.2Ghz laptop before it was stable. It will hardlock the machine. I was really lucky that it did not lock up when I reflashed using this machine!!

I have a dual core Intel 1.66GHz Toshiba laptop and it flashes fine.

Same here, I have a dual core toshiba laptop (intel) and have no problems with flashing.

yep, core 2 duo here and works fine.
