i was wondering if it would be possible to use the tactrix cable to interface to other obd2 vehicles, as in generic obd2 pc-based scanners.

anybody try this? had success? failure? thoughts?

No problem, you can since the car is ISO 9141 or ISO 14230 OBD2 compliant (NO CAN/VPW/PWM support).

do you have any suggestions as to which s/w would work nicely with a generic obd2--->usb/com port cable?

in the meantime i'm going on a hunt for free downloads.
