Reading/Clearing CELs

Hey,
Is it one of the goals of the ecu software being developed here to read and clear CELs? Besides monitoring engine data, that would be a nice thing to be able to do.

when you reset the ecu the CEL's are cleared and all learnt data is also cleared. don't think there is an app on here that currently does it but i can add it to the DL1 app -

Does anyone know of any freeware that will read CELs using the openecu (tatrix?) cable?

Never heard of some free software to do this right now...
You may check also for generic EOBD software as CEL clearing is not something specific to SSM protocol. You may also do it with a software supporting EOBD (Subaru is using ISO9141/14230 on EOBD), just look for one.
