I am trying to flash my 2003 Galant ES. I was able to read the ECU with no problems. It will not allow me to ReFlash it though. When I try to send to the ecu it will go through the following steps and then display an error message.

sending init sequence 1 (0003)
got 0x05 response
sending init sequence 2
got 0x1b response
sending init sequence 3
entering bootloader
sending kernel size (0)
sending kernel load address (0xffff6000)
uploading kernel
verifying kernel checksum response
kernel valid sending init sequence 2

That's all I'll get before the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first step to get your problem solved would be you uploading the ROM you read so that others can find out what's different compared to an EVO.

You didn't mention what interface cable you are using either.

What vehicle selection did you make when reading the ROM?
