Seen New Face of OpenECU.org main page, What is WiKi?

When I enter the site by typing the site address: www.openecu.org, it directs me to the main page I am not familiar with. What is the purpose for that page? What is Wiki pages announced in the News Section? I dont know what WiKi stands for.

Sorry if my question is not constructive. Just want to be a good citizen of this community

A wiki is a kind of live document with content that can be edited by anyone. That way we can have a more traditional layout for the site, but Colby won't be overloaded with having to maintain the entire thing himself.

I want to try and create a front end to the site that is more organized an informative than the free-for-all that happens on the forums. The wiki will contain more well defined knowledge, whereas discussion will continue on the forums.
