ok I have had an openpert2 cable for ages and tried numours ways but I never gets past the get kernal part and I have had no joy trying methods on here so I got in touch with tactrix and my ecu got sent to them and he said he was able to read the ecu no problem which I am not able to do. no after getting my ecu back and a couple of emails from tactrix I am still no futher and have emailed them back and I get nothing in return so as you can imagine I am a bit pissed off. because all I seem to read on here is your ecu has been locked but it's not the right advice is that it has has a brake in the wiring somewhere but trying to find it is a job in it's self. I thought I would write this comment to help out other users with the same problem. if you find it could you pass on the info please.

Try looking for a second set of Test Mode Connectors.

yeah another set of green conectors but the car is going into test mode I have tried buzz testing it aswell from the obd2 port and I get a buzz when I touch the cables on this grey conector

are you connecting the jumper block as well as the green connectors?

the grey conector I am talking about is right next to the obd plug under the steering colum if that any help.
