Turbo Dynamics

Can anyone explain or elaborate this Turbo Dynamics please? I'm having too much boost spike and after reading a document from another tuner regarding Turbo Dynamics, I'm still bewildered. After altering this table and changing values up and down, I don't see any changes on boost spike at all.

How can I fix this?

the turbo dynamics maps are used to try and correct boost error. one of the maps is for overboost (negative compensation) and the other is for underboost (positive compensation). i've not played around with these maps too much but have had better success in getting rid of boost spikes by altering the wastegate duty maps.

what article was it you read? post the link here and maybe we can offer some more advice.

This is what I use a guide. Dunno if it will help you much. From the way they decribe it, sounds like they are not too sure how it "actually" works.

"Turbo Dynamics - Burst
Related to the wastegate duty cycle values. The ECU will take the
current Target Boost Map value and reference it against the actual
boost pressure. Based on the amount of “error” between the boost
you want and the boost you are getting, the ecu will use the Turbo
Dynamics maps to make corrections.
The Burst table is for larger errors, typically seen when first applying full
throttle (ie: spool up). The table values represent percentage
corrections made against the wastegate duty cycle value. They are
referenced by the actual amount of error. Use this map to improve
initial “spool” of the turbocharger. This is tuned to correct boost
spiking or slow boost response.
Boost Correction and Correction Percentage can all be tuned and
adjusted in Realtime. All data can be changed when using either
Realtime or Base map files from your AccessPORT.

Tuning Tips
If during the course of boost tuning you find the turbocharger reaches
or overshoots target boost and then falls and climbs rapidly, try
adjusting the far left and far right values to be closer to 0%. For
example, if the far left and far right values are -9% and 9% respectively,
you may try reducing those to -4% and 4% to stablize boost pressures."
