i am triying to put the maf sensor into the piping sistem can i do that with my stock ecu

i have a 2002 subaru wrx and what i first notes is that my ecu only can work whit 24 psi and not more than that what i whant to do is move the maf sensor from the intake sistem of the turbo and put the maf in the intercooler sistem like in the utec ems can i do that
