Hello guys,

I found this link which shed lots of light on tuning an EVO http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=30289, is there a similar thread someone can direct me to that would provide guidelines with how to tune a Subaru? I have the 22611AH581 ECU that I wana reflash, and it seems Subaru ECUs parameters are different that EVOs, I tunned an EVO7 using a techedge wideband, and logged data, watched for Knock retard, the car already have MBC so I didnt touch the boost maps although EVO7 seems easy in comparison to newer models.
anyway is there a guideline that I can read to know how to deal with the Subaru ECUs? I read somewhere that I should modify timing advance, then someone reply that this is a NO NO, and we should work with the Base Timing table, also the boost related tables (WTF) :-) so many parameters, I read that I have to compare a stock map to a moded map and see what was edited, well that wasnt easy coz I didnt know on what criteria tables were edited, anyway I just need a link or some guidelines would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. 22611AH581 = A4TE002B??? can anyone confirm this for me please.
PEACE
Nabil

I agree there is a number of people using this software but it seems I can never find or get answers to my questions. Is there a better place to find information on how to actually tune the Subaru ECU using this software.

well I will answer you since no one is answering :), I found that we have a homework to do, we have to use the search option on this thread and on other threads more frequently, we have to use google and use BOOLEAN search with google :) and I tell you things will get clearer than you think all over a sudden.
ask me what you wana know and I will see if I have answers for you.

Regards
Nabil

Its actually fair simple to get started. But it takes time to fully master the tables and understand what its doing.

do a search and you'll see.
