Injector flow scaling

Hi
Quick question regarding The Injector flow scaling on Enginuity.

Am I right in thinking the Sti Pink injectors have a flow rating of 565cc per minute, if so then why does the standard image of my ecu show its set to 552.47cc per minute???

Surely as a good starting point for tuning this should be set as close to but not above 565cc/min. :?

Comments very wellcome on this topic.

The injectors are not actually scaled in units of CC/min in the ECU. The unit is unknown, but is an inverse of cc/min (time per volume or time per mass). Instead, the number may be on-time needed to for a given amount of air or fuel. Perhaps nanoseconds on time to match 1 gram of air at 1:1 lambda? I don't think anyone can say with absolute certainly what the unit of measure is. The conversion from what the ECU uses (???) to cc/min is not completely obvious, and is a guess.

What you see as 552cc/min might be "2986" in the ECU. A WRX with smaller injectors may have "3823" in the ECU for what we think are 440cc/min injectors.

In Enguinity you can look somewhere in the map properties to find out what conversion is being use, then back calculate to see what the ECU uses.

Several years ago when the project started this was discussed. You can probably search for some really old threads on injector scaling to see some of the arguments and justifications.
