Well, popping that into google it seems it means your fuel trim is maxed out all the way positive, or all the way negative. This seems to make sense.

It could be lots of things, especially if your car is modified. You should log fuel trims, and either search for leaks, troubleshoot your oxygen sensors, or fix the tune.

I got this fault code pop up. yep did a reflash and some mod like exhaust, intake pipe and injectors w regulator.
best part i was just travelling at slowy speed as in the car park engine check like pop up, i drove out to the highway and after about 20mins of driving the check light off.
shit man.. what's this man. which leakage can leak to the fuel trim? the exhuast or what? can't be the fuel right?

What do you mean you "did a reflash?" Did you get it properly tuned by someone who knows what they're doing, or did you just try to flash some map you found on the internet?

Yep found someone who did the tuning on the dyno. but this check light always appear on and off after that. annoying man.

P0170 means the system is detecting a lean condition, in stock cars this is most often caused by mass airflow meter problems.

Sometimes as simple as cleaning the mass air flow meter.

In your case the the fueling or maf scaling could be off. I would recommend cleaning the MAF first then if the problem persists (likely) I would reflash the ecu with the stock rom back to see if the problem goes away.

This trouble code is usually caused by a leak in the intake system downstream from the MAF sensor.

hmmm.. alright... will clean air flow sensor. what kinda leakage you mean? hose clips not tight enough... ? no visable leakage as everything on the intake pipe was damn tight.

A leak big enough to see with your eyes is a HUGE leak.

That CEL could also be caused by a faulty front O2 sensor. You could troubleshoot that by testing actual AFR with a separate wideband.

that code also pops up if the car has been "decatted" and both o2 sensors now read the same
