Never heard of hond.a -d.ata, is it a big corp? Don't have the time to read into the purpose of the suit, but what basically happened?

Hondata is a big corporation. Selling ecu modifying software and hardware.
PGMFI.org is an open source site dedicated to honda ecus (tuning sofware and editing software). Free software provider.
Someone on PGMFI.org posted a download that is used with hondata products .
Intellectual infringement is what the law suit is about.

Sounds like Hondata is suing a forum operator over something that a user posted. If that is indeed the case, I hope Hondata gets countersued into bankruptcy.
The following ought to prevent the web site operator from losing a lawsuit, but it won't stop Hondata from (ab)using the courts to put him way into debt:
