2005 FXT .5 openECU tune
Posted: Fri Aug 31, 2007 1:07 pmLast night, Robert of Strictly Subarus took a few minutes to download my ROM, make a few tweaks, and flash a new ROM for me. So far as I know, he adjusted:
Increased boost (very minor, from 5.5psi stock to 7.5psi - I believe these figures to be at redline)
leaned out fuel a slight bit
removed open/closed loop
decreased wastegate duty cycle (50% duty cycle at 1600 RPM is stock!?!)
after a vishnu reset, I took it for a quick spin, and there is a noticeable difference! Pulls better at all power bands, more observable boost (lamco before - .07mPa, after .085 - .09mPa max boost), and a heck of a lot more fun.
To prove it wasnt wishfull thinking, Rocky (Autoxer666) took it for a spin, and coming from a stock XT, and being an autoxer, he approved of the improved torque curve and lower rpm boost.
