Is it OK to leave the Jumper plug in on a 2002 wrx?

would someone like to describe the sequence of booting up.....and can we leave the jumper plug in after we are done.....

'Boot-up process'? Assume you want to reflash. Take a look at:

And yes, leaving the flash block jumper in is fine - I do. You have to disconnect the test mode (green) connector though!

thanks I was wanting to blame my fuel trims on the jumper flash.....the green connectors connected would play havic....heheehe

What about on a MY04? Can I leave the jumper in while I am on the dyno reflashing? Or do I have to unplug after every flash before doing another dyno run?

all the jumpers on the white flash block do is complete the circuit for a few of the pins of the obd connector - leave em in - if you want confirmation of this yourself - download a copy of your models wiring diagram and trace the wires out - the 2.5 does away with this flash block
