Postby vikevo9 » Wed May 02, 2007 6:41 am

Hi; Im new in the tuning scene and i want to lern what do I need to get the most out of my evo 9. My car is basically stock (I installed a heder, turbo outlet, 3" downpipe and 3 1/2" exhaust with dynomax muffler; and a walbro 342 fuel pump wich i will be installing soon). Here they charge $600.00 for a reflash, so please help me with what I need and what parameters do I have to change and so on.

Check all the ECUFlash directories for a file corresponding to your ECU's internal ID.. such as 91890014. Find the new XML file that it created when you Inherited the properties of another, and delete it. The new file will most likely be in your Rommeta folder if your settings are on default. After deleting the XML, when you go to open your ROM file in ECUFlash, it will ask you to inherit again. At this point, try to find a XML which matches your ECU ID, otherwise, you'll need to post your ROM file as an attatchment and hope that someone can do up a working definition file for you. Good luck!

Judging by your name, you have an Evo 9... if you haven't already done so, you need to register on the forums at http://www.evolutionm.net/ . The Evo guys have a full section of threads dedicated to ECUFlash.

No prob. I'm new to this as well, so it's nice to pass along a few things that I've picked up in the past few days. Good luck!
