Wrongly assigned XML files.....

How do you manage to edit a map once you have assigned the wrong XML file to it?
I assume you have to somehow assign a different XML file to it, but how?!?!
I've tried moving/deleting the wrongly used xml, but still no luck.
Thoughts please? :)

Anyone with any thoughts please?

Have I explained it clearly enough?

You need to give us more information - what application are using? Car and year? rom id?

XML issues

In your post you said you removed the ROM that you inherited the map FROM? You should have just removed the XML associated to the car you pulled the ROM from.

It should be in the rommetadata folder in you Open ECU program files. If you removed only the inherited file, the XML of your vehicle is still there and probably won't let you re-do the setup.

Is this the case?

Phew, cracked it :D

Think it was becuase I had more than 1 copy of the related XML file, and I hadn't realised.
So, mtcavity, you were correct, thanks :)

Thank Colby for the ability to do this!

He makes it relatively easy to adjust to mistakes like this with the XML format. I wish I were more informed on the hierarchy of the builds for a more compact XML archive. But still, the ability to post, build, and manipulate all vehicles, individually, makes this some outstanding software.

As a matter of fact, of all the programs I use, Open ECU is the greatest at its "ease of use".

If you have any problems with not having the definition for your vehicle, post it and someone will help you...
