I've been trying to get EcuFlash to read my ECU for the past week with no success. My car is a 2002 Eclipse GS AT. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled EcuFlash Version 1.29 and it's drivers no less than six times now, and I'm just getting a little frustrated.
The problem is that when I click on "Read ECU", a blank prompt pops up with "Cancel" as the only option. After looking at screen shots of what this prompt should look like, I now know that this is where I should be able to select from a list of vehicles (I understand that I should choose "2003 Eclipse Automatic Trans") - - But there are NO vehicles listed, or for that matter anything to choose but cancel.
The cable seems to be communicating with the ECU because I can use "Compare to ECU" just fine.
Everything opens with no errors, and at the bottom right hand side of the screen it says "Mitsubishi 1.3 TX" with some numerals after TX. (as opposed to saying "No Vehicle Interface.")
Someone on www.club3g.com told me that it has to do with where my Rommetadata is saved in relation to the directory...but I'm almost sure they are saved in the correct locations.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
