i recv the tactrix cable last week and today finally i have a chance to open the package and use the cable. When i connect to my laptop it says new hardware found - openport 1.3 subaru
and its looking for something (driver???) i didnt continue because im not sure where are the files

I want to use ECUFLASH and EcuExplorer

please advice

Download and install Ecuflash. It will update your drivers.

You can't use EcuExplorer with 1.3 cable because drivers don't generate virtual com port. You can connect to ECU via EcuExplorer only through COM port.

p.s. ecuEdit able to connect to ECU through openport 1.3

thats not good
i got the cable so i can datalog and if i cant use ECU explorer then its a bad idea to get v1.3

installed v1.29 EcuFlash
and ecuexplorere still does not see the cable
do i have to have both the programs running
or is there something additional i need to do

Not true. If you download the latest version of ECUflash, you get both types of drivers and you can then switch easily between ECUflash and EcuExporer with the 1.3 cable.

I install drivers from ecuFlash 1.28 on my laptop and desktop and I haven't virtual COM-port for 1.3 on both computers. But OpenPort 1.2 have

Uninstall that old version (and its drivers) and install the latest version.

Thanks, COM port appear after reinstall

ECUflash 1.29 didn't have the drivers for the cable..
i had to install 1.28..

then i install 1.29 over that...


I'm kinda of dissappointed that I can't datalog ethier...

is there anything that can be done?
