I have been doing a lot of reading regarding tuning. A though occured to me. Why hasn't anyone developed a piece of saoftware that gave user an experience of tuning? Why take the risk on your motor?

Can we build something fairly simple to simulate the steps that a user would go through to tune their car?

I bought an engine management book and it came with some mapping software and a simulator linked to it. I haven't checked it out though so can't say if it's any good.
