I hook up my 0-5v output from the LC-1 to it.

how did you solve the cooling fan problem Evo4mad
any other info would be greatly appreciated

And... the E4 O2 sensor isn't heated, E5+ is. (Can't remember if that throws a CEL though) :?:

To do it properly you need the 'little black box' from the back of the fan on an E7+ and a bit of wiring. Alternatively, you could fit a thermostatic fan switch and forget about the ECU controlled fan operation. This may, however, cause issues with the A/C (if fitted). [/quote]

ok my car dont have A/C so fit a PWM controller to the existing fan good idea.
have you swapped the ecu out in your own car???
thanks for the help much appreciated.
any other advice about doing this???

Did it a while ago on an E4. Went through all the wiring diagrams and the only real differences were fan control (some of the ECU pins differ with regard to fan control also) and O2 sensor differences. Unfortunately I never got to the point of finishing the project and getting rid of the occasional CEL it would throw, could have done with an MUTII to check the codes it was giving really. Car was running quite happiliy though.
