subaru and mitsubishi modified files

hi i am new to tuning subaru,s and mitsubishi,s. please can anyone advice me where to obtain modified rom files for these vehicles? do i need to modify the standard files myself? i have purchased a tactrix 1.3u bundle.
any advice i will be grateful. thanks
