Problem with Flashing 2006 Sti with ecuflash

I am using ecuflash to tune my 2006 sti. I can connect and load the map and download my stock map just fine. Everytime it says my new map is loaded with no errors, but the map doesn't seem to load it reverts back to the stock settings everytime.

Are you connecting the test connectors (should hear fans cycling, etc if they are connected, ignition in on position)? You will only need these connected when flashing the ECU (not logging or reading).

NOTE: Other years/models usually have test connectors in a different location, I can only verify this for a 2006 STI.
They are green connectors (that are not connected) located by the passengers right foot (covered by the piece of molding that runs along the bottom of the door up to the bottom of the glove box). It is pretty easy to take off, and if your taking the slow tune (incremental, over days) route you probably want to let it hang out for the mean time.

If the green footwell connectors are disconnected then you won't be able to read the rom in the first place (ask me - it took me a month to find this problem).

Perhaps you're doing a test write instead of a write?
