Designing ecu utilities for reflashing and dumping

Postby Hitokiri » Fri Aug 19, 2005 6:20 pm

Colby / others:

can you describe the method you used in figuring out how to design the kernels and utilities you have to dump memory / etc?

I am trying to do the same for the JECS Subaru ecu which is a MITSU M32R or specifically (M32150F4TFP) as far as I know.

Can you elaborate on the steps ou tool in development and what information you needed to write the kernel? does the kernel that you use to dump the memory require significant programming that will be overly processor specific?

What aspects of the processor datasheets did you use in you development?
