Trying to get OpenECU HW working with Tari software

Postby twg » Thu Jun 02, 2005 9:15 am

I just got my OpenECU HW...

I installed the FTDI 232BM drivers.. the VCP drivers...

I then installed the Tari DL1...

I am using COM5..

When I start Tari, it says that it cannot communicate with the ECU...

I tried the free version of VE1, but it only supports up to COM3, so no go..

Any suggestions ?

not sure why it didn't work on COM5, but once I freed up COM3, it worked..

free version of VE1 didn't work still though...

once the program call for a port, it will not work on another.

freeing up the com3 with work as you stated.

But then again, the Tari gives you com1 to com9.

So just select the port in the future and you are good to go. :)

I realise that when the first drivers failed.

It took awhile to get them install, but there are working great.

My only problem right now is logging. The Tari software are not showing the right results and the sample code on the net does not have the AFR reading.

Thanks cboles

Look at the other free logger in the dataloggin development section - that will read AFR, and there is source code.

I think I'm having the same problem with my OpenPort 1.3 for Subaru DBW.
