Works on an older Impreza RS

Postby Penphoe » Tue Apr 15, 2008 4:08 pm

To add more confusion to the mix, I was able to use my Tactrix 1.3 cable to connect to my friend's MY01 Impreza RS using the Scan Tech 0.77 software. It successfully grabbed his CEL code P0420 and was able to reset it. I should have grabbed the freeze-frame data as well, but didn't. :(

Wierd. Works with older cars, but not with my MY05 LGT.

 :?

05 LGT here as well. People with older openports have gotten it working on the 05 LGT.

Hey MalibuJack, did you ever update this software? Couldn't find it on your site.

I'm trying to use this software, but whenever I try to configure my cable it says it was unable to establish communication. The cable is a tactrix 2.0 cable, COM port was set to COM 1, the options were set up with tactrix cable at first, but then I tried the Jeff protocall, but neither seem to work. The communication log wont register any new information in it, it stored the first attempt, but now it always gives me the same timestamp on the log, so it seems as if its a program problem. I tried uninstalling the program and re installing it, but that hasn't helped.
Any ideas?

Same here. I know the comm port and drivers are setup correctly, I can read and write using EFUFlash. I'm trying to scan a MY02 Impreza. Whether I set it to auto detect or setup the comm port myself, same deal. No communication.
