Mitsubishi MUT protocols

Postby And » Mon Oct 06, 2008 11:46 pm

Hi All

I wonder if anyone can help me, I've been writing some software to talk to the car, Mitsi Evo 8 using the OBD2 protocol (ISO 9141-2), which all seems to work but I'm only able to get about 10 pids back a second (quite slow). I've read that there is a MUT protocol that is capable of getting about 200 pids a second but I've not been able to find any information about it.

Can anyone send me the MUT protocol or point me in the right direction, also do you have to use a different cable? I'm using a ELM327 USB cable at the moment but have read that the pins might be different for the MUT.

Help please !

Thanks
Andy

You need a Tactrix cable, then a copy of Evoscan or Mitsubishilogger.

I also published a logger for Pocket PC or Laptop PC with open source.

If you wish to rewrite some ECU code, you can use DMA logging on Mitsubishi also, which runs at up to 6250 items per second.

Where would one find a copy of this source?
