edc15c3 k-line pin

Postby condyboy » Sat Jun 07, 2008 3:49 pm

Hi my vehicle is a 2001 volvo v40 1.9cdi with a bosch edc15c3 ecu. I've managed to locate the l-line the battery+12v and the gnd pins with the vehicle wiring diagrams. The problem is that volvo blocks any obd2 connection with their ecm.
I was wondering if anybody could tell me if pin 1-G2 is the k-line?

Good luck finding anyone on this forum that has played with Volvo of any type! You might be lucky, but I don't think it's mainstream work.

Hopefully I'll find some help and then who knows we may be able to expand the forum to cover more makes! I been looking around and there's some very interesting work going on. I'm mainly used to flashing/ programming pc's and game consoles and I thought "Hey my car just runs on a dedicated pc! Why not improve that to work the way I want!"
So this is a quick learning curve for me, I'm used to using heeditor for flashing drives so this is very similar indeed. :)

I think a denso based forum is not the best place to get infos for Bosch ECUs.

Better look at forum like chiptuners.org to find help and infos about this old bosch hardware.

EURO3 do not support OBD-II connection for diagnostic, but you can activate it, if you finde the right bit in the software
