Postby moss99 » Sat Nov 04, 2006 10:48 pm

Hi i have just got my open port cable from tactrix and have tried to run evoscan but when i start datalogger i get in the event log

info: Initialising At 5 baud 0x00...
Info: Initialisation Complete...
info: Waiting for INIT Response...
error: FTDI Read Timeout
Info: Datalogger Ended.

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything but still the same i got the cable driver from ecuflash programme (a link from tactrix website)

Yes the openport cable forgot to join pins 1 & 4 for diagnostic mode on JDM vehicles.

yeah put a swtich on it is better,

I have mine permanantly wired (pins 1&4 shorted), although it could be annoying to have the dash lights flashing when in diagnostic mode ( only when vehicle is stationary, they stop flashing when the car starts moving) and the other thing is when turning the key off the ETACS ecu when in diagnostic mode locks and unlocks the doors on my evo4 which is also a little annoying. so yeah a switch would be better.
