You should post on active matrix or evolutionm.net. I don't know how often Malibu Jack goes to this forum.

I have the lm-1 inputting into my e-01 and display the data there it never goes over 20.9. What I suspect is happening is when I let off the gas instead of evoscan logging the 20.9 reading displayed on my screen it logs erroneous data in the 80-120:1 afr range so when you open a data log it scales the left side to the highest data logged. When your trying to look at a range of 3-4 afr jumping to 120 makes your log a straight line which makes it alot harder to see the afr.

That makes sense, each data sample from an LC-1 is basically four bytes (there is also a header and length, but that is for the encompassing packet). The top word is status, the bottom word is a value. The meaning of value depends on status. Lambda, the value is 0-1023, with each count representing .001 lambda and an assumed offset of .5 lambda (so the range is .5 to 1.523), O2, the value is pressure, Error, the value is an error code, warmup, the value is percentage complete, and so on.

If the software treats all values as lambda, regardless of status, you would get some very weird readings in other states.

Another possibility is the the AFR multiplier programmed into the LC-1 is incorrect. All readings are in lambda, so to convert to AFR an application multiplies the lambda value by the AFR multiplier (typically 14.7 for gasoline). If the software is honoring the muliplier in the packet, and it is wrong for the fuel used, then you'll get weird readings as well.

yeah you are right, I am treating them all as lambda, ignoring the status packet.

you have to remember your display isn't always showing AFR it switches to % oxygen (20.9) which relatively = 80-120 AFR which means lots of oxygen

Listen up everyone,

When Evo4Mad (or whoever it is making the product I enjoy more than beer and pain medication) is done with it he will email you and probably advertise on all the forums.

Just let him finish his project, through my experience in life, and I am an old ass fart, whenever you rush someone the product may be effected.

With that said, 4mad please take your time because right now I am really enjoying the v0.97

Thanks

OK, time for insulting comments - bring them on computer wussies

I actually agree. Evo4Mad has gotten us a very stable product so far. Future versions will only be addons/enhancements (which are welcome).
