TunerPro - Subaru Support Added

Postby moxie » Mon Feb 13, 2006 3:51 pm

I had looked at TunerPro (http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/) in the past and thought it would be a cool option for us to have available. I made contact with Mark, the developer, and he started working with the info I was able to gather from Spiider's posts.

As of now, he has made a few changes to his core software so it will work for us, and we have a working 2004 USDM WRX definition file. This file seems to work for 2004-2005 USDM WRX so far.

I have been, and will continue to keep mark updated on our progress over here, and he has promised to support our needs to the best of his ability. He has already invested a considerable amount of time on the things I have requested.

Currently, Mark is converting the defintions from little to big endian, but the software is working fine at the moment, and the current definition file has most of the important maps.

You can download the software here:
http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/

Click to the downloads section and the link will be right at the top.
The software is 100% free for all versions, though Mark does ask for a donation for the RT version if you want to eliminate the delay screen.

Feel free to post suggestions here, I am sure he would love to see what we think.

BTW, the tables will display the rows from High to Low.
This will be changeable in the next version (5.0)

Cool. It looks like he basically took my EcuEdit.xml file that i posted in the USDM 04-05 WRX area. :) Everything seems to be identical including the error I had in my original ecuedit.xml file for tip enrichment.

I like the the program layout a lot. The tables also make more sense. since they have rpms increasing for the Y-axis.

I ganked your XML file for sure, though Mark gets the credit for implementation in TunerPro, definately not I.

Should have given you credit. Sorry about that :)

All values do display correctly, and editing works fine.
Mark ended up messing the formulae to make it work with little endian, but is now coverting it.

Once again, sorry for not acknowledging your work, it was definately appreciated.

It's all good. I don't really consider that 'my' work since most of the ground-work was done by others finding the offsets formulas etc. i just adapted it for the 04-05 WRX.

But as long as his program remains free...

swwwwWEEEET! What a great tool this is. Well done.

So moxie, what information do we need to find to generate the XDFs? More XML defs? Is it a stack of work to generate the XDFs this way?

If people can provide me with the XML def for ecuedit, enginuity, etc. I can work with Mark and get it coverted.

Unfortunately this version of TunerPro uses the XDF files, but Mark will be trying to include an XML parser in version 5 so we can just plug the definitions in.

So basically, if you want your particular ECU to be supported, get a good working XML definition file to me and we can get it added :)

I have used TP on vws in the past and was in the middle of recomending it to shane86 and there it was

Good stuff. Now all we need to do is get chickenshit shane to actually modify something

Calvin posted up a file with 85 ecu definitions (not in the right format though).

Ideally, it would be great to automatedly convert these, it would allow full editing support for a lot of cars.

How are things working out with TunerPro guys? Feature requests? Problems? Anyone creating any definitions I should post on the TunerPro site?

I'm working hard on Version 5, so suggestions are very welcome!

I've added plenty of support for 02 in Enginuity.
