Evoscan Evo5 datalog irregular dataloss/poor communication

Postby Arash » Mon Oct 17, 2011 12:56 am

Hi fellow geeks.

Check out this snapshot from the datalog from an Evo5 I logged this morning.

The logging in the first half poor, like pulsating logging. After that, it's nice and clear.

Any ideas of what causes this? It has happened to me one time before, but perhaps about 20 cars in between without issues.

open the log file with notepad, you'll probably find that the LogSeconds has reset back to zero half way down the log file.. it has to be sequential else the chart will plot the two data streams on top of each other, looking like a zigzag like that.

split the log file where the LogSeconds resets, and it should be ok. Also use EvoScan v2.8, this should no longer be occuring in the latest versions of EvoScan. if it is still occuring send the csv log to the evoscan support desk.

thanks,
Hamish.

Great Hamish.

I'm sure that will do the trick. Love good solid answers. Thanks a lot!
