Has anyone been able to download ROM images from other cars, like BMW's, Mercedes etc. I am specifically refering to the *.bin or *.hex created after reading from an ecu. I would like to get a sample together of 10 or so cars with the same year make and model for comparision purposes.

I want to pull the rom from my sisters 2005 2.5RS. When you're asked what type of car the rom is from in ecu flash...should I just lie?

will the metadata be wrong if I do this?
