There is no problem with the language, you can install it on non US os. This message is mostly a warning.

When u say u can't open any rom, have u checked that your rom model have the corresponding XML file ? If not, you may use XMLWrite to generate one or check on this forum if someone has not already upload it.

guys
i've install the same file (ecuflash) in 2 pcs....

the one with greek windows and the other with english...

in the one with the greek windows it's not working in the other it works just fine (no errors at all)...

i've uninstall and re-install it many times in both of them with the same results...

i also got the "error loading FTD2XX.DLL" message in the task info panel..

I get the message as well. Any idea what's up with that? I can't seem to use 1.28 to dump my ECU image.

In fact when I load ECU Flash I seem to get a few problem messages:

[03:58:40.875] Version 1.28.716
[03:58:40.875] 8 memory models read.
[03:58:41.000] Unable to find parent metadata sti05base
[03:58:41.000] ROM metadata models A8DH200X.xml is invalid.
[03:58:41.000] 27 ROM metadata models read.
[03:58:41.000] checksum module "subarudbw" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "wrx02" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "wrx04" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "sti04" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "sti05" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "mitsukernel" loaded.
[03:58:41.000] flashing tool "mitsukernelocp" loaded.
[03:58:41.015] flashing tool "mitsubootloader" loaded.
[03:58:41.015] error loading FTD2XX.DLL

I've uninstalled and reinstalled but nothing changes. I can only use ECUexplorer to dump the ROM, and can't get ECU Flash to work.

****EDIT****

I'm retarded. ECUFlash defaults to COM3, but my cable is at COM4.

as i notice this message apears when the installation of the openport cable is incomplete..
try to install the driver again and see if the pc identifies the cable when you connect it.
when the first conection is succesful the message will not apear again.. at least this is what hapend to me..in my new "american speaking" laptop..(in the other one that uses greek XP the problem could not be solved)

to fix this error "error loading FTD2XX.DLL" You need to place the FTD2XX.DLL in your windows/system32 folder. The file can be found in the openecu/ecuflash/drivers. Hope that helps ya out.

I tried to install of EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716 on my desktop
with XP (XP russion lenguage)
[my notebook has Windows 98 (for old auto-programms) and Windows 2000].
There were some problem and I think
that I won them. But I am uncertain whether I did all right:

1. When I was installing EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716 under XP (Rus)
I received DEVISE DRIVER INSTALLATION WIZARD worning ('!' in window):

'The current language is not supported by Devise Driver Installation Wizard
Contact the vendor that provided you this package.'

There was last string in EcuFlash Setup window:
'Execute "C:\Program Files\OpenEcu\EcuFlash\drivers\DPInst.exe'

2. When I was staring EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716 under XP (Rus) before installing
I received last record in 'Task Info' window of EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716:

'...
...
[07:04:33:188] error FTD2XX.DLL'

3. I copyed FTD2XX.DLL from
C:/.../EcuFlash/drivers/ to
C:/Windows/system32/.

4. Then I plugged OpenPort 1.2 (then 1.3) devises in USB
and pointed to pass C:/.../EcuFlash/drivers/ to install drivers
for Open Port 1.2 (then 1.3).

5. Before installations of drivers for OpenPort 1.2 (and 1.3)
I see 2 new records in Devise Manager:
- 'OpenPort 1.3 Mitsubishi';
- 'USB Serial Converter'.

6. When I started EcuFlash in Options > Port >
I have 2 new items too:
- 'OpenPort 1.3 Mitsubishi TX351G3a'
- 'COM19'

Is it all OK?

1. Can I try to reflesh something?
2. Can I install EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716 on Win2000 (Are there OpenPort1.2/1.3 - drivers for EcuFlash Ver.1.28.716 under Windows 2000?) ?
